Terms And Conditions

Cleaner Wimbledon Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of cleaning and related services by Cleaner Wimbledon to domestic and commercial clients in the United Kingdom. By booking or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means the individual, company or organisation booking or receiving services from Cleaner Wimbledon.

Company means Cleaner Wimbledon, the cleaning service provider.

Services means any cleaning, housekeeping, end of tenancy cleaning, deep cleaning, commercial cleaning, waste handling incidental to cleaning, or related services provided by the Company.

Cleaner means any employee, contractor or representative engaged by the Company to perform the Services.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

2. Scope of Services

The Company will provide the Services as described in the booking confirmation issued to the Client. The scope may include regular domestic cleaning, commercial cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, one-off deep cleaning and other related services as agreed.

The Client is responsible for ensuring that the description of the required Services provided to the Company is accurate and complete. The Company will not be liable for incomplete or unsatisfactory results arising from inaccurate or incomplete instructions from the Client.

3. Booking Process

All bookings must be made directly with the Company via its approved booking channels. When making a booking, the Client must provide accurate information about the Premises, the type of service required, preferred dates and times, and any particular requirements or access arrangements.

The Company will acknowledge receipt of the booking request and will confirm acceptance of the booking, subject to availability. A booking will be considered confirmed only when the Client has received written or electronic confirmation from the Company.

The Company reserves the right to decline a booking at its absolute discretion, including where the Premises are unsuitable or where the requested Services fall outside the Company’s usual operations.

The Client must inform the Company in advance of any special conditions at the Premises, such as restricted access, parking limitations, building regulations, health and safety risks, or the presence of pets or alarm systems. Failure to do so may lead to additional charges or cancellation of the visit.

4. Access to Premises

The Client is responsible for ensuring that the Company and its Cleaners have safe and adequate access to the Premises at the agreed time. The Client must provide any keys, access codes or entry instructions needed to perform the Services.

Where keys are provided to the Company, they will be securely stored and used solely for the purpose of delivering the Services. The Client is responsible for ensuring that any alarm systems are correctly set to allow access as agreed, and for providing instructions to arm or disarm alarms where necessary.

If a Cleaner is unable to gain access to the Premises at the agreed time, waits for an unreasonable period, or is turned away, this may be treated as a late cancellation and the applicable cancellation fee may be charged.

5. Client Obligations

The Client agrees to:

Provide a safe working environment for the Cleaners, including compliance with all applicable health and safety laws and regulations.

Ensure that the Premises are reasonably tidy and free from excessive clutter that would prevent effective cleaning.

Secure or remove any valuables, fragile items, and irreplaceable possessions before the commencement of the Services.

Inform the Company of any surfaces, items or materials that require special care or are particularly delicate.

Comply with all applicable local regulations relating to waste, recycling and environmental protection in connection with the Services.

6. Equipment and Materials

Unless otherwise agreed, the Company will provide its own cleaning equipment and materials suitable for the type of service booked. The Company may, at its discretion, agree to use products supplied by the Client, provided they are safe, fit for purpose and compliant with applicable regulations.

If the Client requires the use of specific products or equipment, this must be agreed at the time of booking. The Company is not responsible for any damage or unsatisfactory results caused by materials or equipment supplied by the Client or requested contrary to the Company’s professional advice.

7. Pricing and Payments

Prices for the Services will be communicated to the Client at the time of booking or as otherwise agreed in writing. The Company reserves the right to review and adjust its prices from time to time, but will honour prices agreed for confirmed bookings unless there is a material change in the scope of work or in the information provided by the Client.

Unless otherwise stated, all prices are given in pounds sterling and may be subject to applicable taxes and charges in accordance with UK law.

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. The Company may require full or partial payment in advance, or may accept payment on completion of the Services, depending on the type of service and the Client’s profile.

Accepted payment methods will be confirmed by the Company. The Client must ensure that payment is made in full by the due date. Late payment may result in suspension of further Services and may incur interest or administrative charges as permitted by law.

For ongoing or recurring services, the Company may issue invoices on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, as agreed with the Client. Failure to pay invoices on time may result in termination of the service arrangement.

8. Changes and Cancellations by the Client

The Client may request changes to the date, time or scope of the Services, subject to availability and agreement by the Company. The Company will use reasonable efforts to accommodate such changes but cannot guarantee that all requests will be met.

If the Client wishes to cancel or reschedule a booking, the Client must provide notice within the minimum notice period specified by the Company for that type of service. If sufficient notice is not provided, a cancellation fee may be charged, up to the full amount of the scheduled service.

For one-off or end of tenancy services, shorter notice periods may apply due to the allocation of significant time and resources. For regular cleaning services, the Client may be required to provide notice to cancel a single visit or to terminate the service arrangement entirely.

Where the Client repeatedly cancels or reschedules bookings at short notice, the Company reserves the right to terminate the service relationship.

9. Cancellations and Changes by the Company

The Company will use reasonable efforts to perform the Services on the agreed dates and times. However, the Company may need to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond its control, including staff illness, transport disruption, extreme weather, safety concerns or other operational issues.

In such cases, the Company will notify the Client as soon as practicable and will offer an alternative appointment. The Company will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from such cancellations or rescheduling, but any prepayments for the affected visit will be applied to the rearranged appointment or refunded where no alternative can be agreed.

10. Service Quality and Complaints

The Company aims to provide services to a professional standard. If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, the Client must notify the Company promptly, ideally within 24 hours of completion of the visit, providing details of the issue.

The Company will investigate any complaint and may, at its discretion, offer to re-perform the affected part of the Services or provide an appropriate adjustment, provided the complaint is reasonable and directly related to the performance of the Company or its Cleaners.

The Company is not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or issues arising from poor maintenance of the Premises or fixtures and fittings.

11. Liability and Insurance

The Company will exercise reasonable skill and care in providing the Services. The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover in respect of its legal liabilities arising from the Services, subject to policy terms and conditions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company’s total liability to the Client in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the total fees paid or payable by the Client for the specific service visit giving rise to the claim.

The Company will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or purely economic loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of enjoyment, whether foreseeable or not.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

The Client is responsible for arranging appropriate insurance for the Premises and its contents. The Company is not liable for damage resulting from the poor condition, instability or defect of any item, surface or fixture at the Premises.

12. Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations

The Company will handle general household and commercial cleaning waste arising from the provision of the Services in accordance with applicable UK waste and environmental regulations. This typically includes the collection of small quantities of non-hazardous waste generated in the normal course of cleaning.

The Services do not include the removal or disposal of large quantities of waste, bulky items, construction debris, hazardous substances, clinical waste, sharp objects or materials requiring specialist handling, unless expressly agreed in advance and compliant with relevant laws.

The Client must not ask the Company or its Cleaners to remove or dispose of any waste in contravention of local or national waste regulations or environmental laws. The Client is responsible for arranging lawful disposal of any such materials through appropriate channels.

The Company encourages responsible waste segregation and recycling practices and will, where practical and agreed, assist the Client in placing waste and recyclables in designated receptacles at the Premises.

13. Health and Safety

The Company is committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety for its Cleaners and Clients. Cleaners are instructed to follow relevant safety procedures and to use cleaning products and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

The Client must inform the Company of any known hazards at the Premises, including structural defects, unsafe electrical installations, contaminated areas or other risks that may affect the safety of Cleaners.

If a Cleaner considers that the Premises or any part of it is unsafe, or that the requested tasks pose a risk to health and safety, the Cleaner may decline to carry out those tasks. The Company will discuss any such issues with the Client and may propose alternative solutions where possible.

14. Confidentiality and Data Protection

The Company will treat all personal information and details relating to the Client and the Premises as confidential, and will use such information solely for the purpose of providing the Services and managing the client relationship.

The Company will handle personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. The Client is responsible for ensuring that any personal data provided to the Company is accurate and current.

15. Termination

Either party may terminate an ongoing or recurring service arrangement by giving the notice period specified by the Company at the outset of the service, or as otherwise agreed in writing.

The Company may terminate the service relationship with immediate effect if the Client fails to pay any amount due, behaves abusively or unlawfully towards Cleaners or staff, creates unsafe working conditions, or otherwise commits a serious breach of these Terms and Conditions.

On termination, the Client must pay all outstanding amounts due for Services provided up to the date of termination. Any rights and obligations that by their nature are intended to continue after termination shall remain in force.

16. Force Majeure

The Company will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such delay or failure results from events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, acts of God, extreme weather, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, industrial disputes, transport disruptions, power failures or changes in law.

17. Amendments to Terms

The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, best practice, or the operation of its services. The latest version will apply to all new bookings and to ongoing services after the Client has been notified or the updated terms have been made reasonably available.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided by the Company.

19. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

These Terms and Conditions, together with any written service agreement or booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the Services and supersede any prior understandings or arrangements.
